Must Have beauty Products This Festive Season

Durga puja just passed by and Diwali is knocking at the door. Everyone is lost in festivity spirit and enjoying the most. Some are busy in preparations, some are busy in shopping and some are busy in decorations.

This is my personal favorite time of the year, as I luv celebrating festivals with great pump and show. 

Being a Marwari, Diwali is my main festival and we celebrate it grandly in my house.

So now coming to the point, since it is a festival time, we need to look good too. And for that we need certain products handy in our vanity. So I thought of sharing my must have products with you guys so that it can help you guys select yours.

Let’s start with face makeup first:

      1)      Primer: It is a must have item this festive season as it helps you keep your makeup intact for longer period of time. My current fav is Inglot primer. It is gel based and it gets absorbed in skin very rapidly giving a nice and soft texture.

      2)      Foundation: Foundation is again must have to look good. My current favorite is Loreal infallible powder foundation. It is really very effective. If I need to use liquid foundation sometimes, I prefer one from Blue Heaven X factor all in one foundation.

      3)      Concealer: I don’t prefer applying concealer always except when I am doing some heavy makeup. And for that I use my makeup revolution concealer.

      4)      Compact: This is a must have to give a perfect finishing touch to skin. I use Maybelline superstay compact. I really love this. It is perfect for everyday as well as festive makeup look. 

      5)      Blush: For blush, I rely on my MUA blush which is cream based. It is very easy to apply and gives nice and subtle finish.

Now coming to eye makeup:

     1)      Kohl: It is a must must must have product for one and all. I have used many kohls are all are very nice. Like colossal kajal, kajal magique etc. but my current fav is from elle 18. It is smudge proof kajal which stays on for nice 8 to 10 hours.

     2)      Eye liner: Another must have product to give a dramatic look to your face. My current and all time fav liner is colossal liner, which is a pen type liner.

     3)      Mascara: Mascara is not very important but still to make your face look wide and open, we apply this. My current fav mascara is colossal mascara.

     4)      Eye shadow pallete: I generally love to do smokey eye in festivals. For that my fav pallete is chocolate pallete from makeup revolution. It has such awesome shades.

Last but not the least, coming to lip makeup:

     1)      Lipstick: Be it any occasion, lipstick is a must. Currently I am loving matte lips and for that I prefer Maybelline lip gradation. It is the best crayon lipstick that I have ever used.

Sometimes when I don’t prefer to apply matte lipstick, I use MUA lipstick.

Diwali is knocking at the door and I am sure everyone must have started with shopping.

Diwali is the color of lights. Apart from decorating our house and doing Pooja, getting ready and looking our best always tops our priority list. Meeting people, going on social gatherings are all part of Diwali celebrations, for which we usually focus on our looks.

So we girls are always keen about our outfits as it can make our look or destroy our look. So I thought of helping you out with your Diwali shopping this year.

In my todays post, I will take you through the latest style trends in ethnic wear, so that it becomes easier for you guys to choose and buy your perfect Diwali outfit.

So without any delay, let’s start.

When it comes to ethnic, we generally prefer suit or saree. So I will be talking about these two today.

     1)    Saree:

Saree is the most versatile outfit that any women can wear. It bring out the real you and make you look gorgeous. Saree is something which is just perfect for any and every occasion.

You can choose any type of saree from traditional to net to Bollywood, it will look gorgeous this festive season.

Just make sure you wear perfect accessories and hairstyle to go with it.

     2)    Lehenga Dress:

Lehenga dress is highly in trend now a days. They give you a trendy look in contrast with ethnic wear. Either pair it up with a dupatta or wear just kurta and lehenga, both looks superb.

You can play with prints and colors here by doing mix and match to look different.

     

     3)    Pallazo suits:

This is the latest trend this festive season. From casual wear to party wear, you can wear a pallazo suit for all occasions. It gives a very flowing and attractive look.

To add a spark, pair it up with traditional jewelries and you are good to go.

     4)    Anarkali suits:

Anarkali suits are the most talked about outfit when it comes to traditional wear. They give a very nice ethnic look which no one can beat ever. That’s the reason, it is in trend since such a long time.

Floor length suits, paired up with chudidar and dupatta gives a very royal look which is perfect to look the best.

Wear a anarkali suit and style it with heavy earrings, bangles, a traditional bag and heels.

Wearing any of this outfits will definitely boost up your look and make you look stylish, elegant and a stylish ethnic diva.

Review On Maybelline Lip Gradation

How are you all doing…? Hope everyone is having a nice festive time.

Today I have come up with yet another product review.

So, if I ask any girl what is your 5 must have products or 5 products which you can’t live without or 5 things you don’t leave your house without, I am sure almost 99% girls will have lipstick in their list.

We girls are just crazy for lipsticks. Even if we have numerous amount of lipsticks we are not satisfied with it. Seeing our craziness for lipsticks, makeup brands keep coming up with new range of lipsticks.

Maybelline launched lip gradation range some months back and I am super impressed with it. This is one of the best lipstick that comes under crayon lipstick category.

Product Description:

Matte lipsticks are quite on demand now a days. Another thing that is on trend is crayon lipsticks. 

When you combine these two, you get Maybelline lip gradation.

It is a perfect crayon lipstick which gives you a gorgeous matte finish. It is a two sided crayon which contains lip shade on 1 side and cushion blender on another. You can use the cushion blender to get perfect ombre or graded look.

It comes in 8 different shades: Pink 1 , Pink 2, Red 1, Red2, Fuchsia 1, Orange 1, Mauve 1 and Coral 1.

The one I have is Fuchsia 1 which is a bright pink shade with blue undertone.

Price and Quantity:

Maybelline lip gradation is retailed at Rs. 500 for 1.25gm.

Shelf Life:

36 months from the date of manufacturing.

Packaging:

As mentioned above, it is a 2 sided crayon lipstick. On one side it has the lip tiny and on another it has cushion blender.

Body of the crayon is colored as same lip shade. And both the ends are secured by black caps.

Packaging is quite classy and eye catching. It can be easy carried in handbags or even in wallets.

Texture:

These lipsticks have creamy texture which gives a very nice matte finish. The cushion blender can be used to get a smudged look too. Its consistency is just perfect for it.

Moreover, I would not suggest it for very dry lips. If you use a lip balm and apply it, you might not get the desired matte finish.

Directions of Usage:

To apply it generally, first line your lips using the same lipstick and then fill up the remaining parts.

To get a smudged look, apply lipstick in the center of your lips and then use the cushion blender to smudge it all over. That will give you perfect matte and ombre look.

Pros of Maybelline Lip Gradation:

       1)      Gives nice matte finish.

       2)      Have classy packaging making it travel friendly.

       3)      Can be used to get both matte as well as graded look.

       4)      Easily available.

       5)      Have nice creamy texture.

       6)      Covers pigmentation.

Cons of Maybelline Lip Gradation:

       1)      Limited shades available.

       2)      All usual shades, nothing new and interesting.

       3)      Quantity is low for given price.

       4)      Not suitable for very dry lips.

My experience of Maybelline lip Gradation:

If you follow my blog regularly, you must be knowing that I am big lipstick lover. Also Maybelline is one of my favorite makeup brand. So when this range was launched I was super excited to try it out. 

But due to some personal reasons it got delayed.

Recently I got a chance to try my first lip gradation as I received it as a gift. It is in fushia1 shade.

During the tenure of its launch and me receiving it, I had read many mixed reviews about it, so I was little excited to try it out.

I personally liked it a lot. From its texture to finish to packaging, everything is perfect. It gives very nice bold and beautiful look which will suit on any Indian skin tone.

It is definitely a must have for me this festive season.

Only problem is that, it has all usual shades which we generally have. Therefore it’s no point in investing in them. But if you don’t have any of these shades, it is definitely a must try.

Ratings:

I am really satisfied with the quality of this lipstick so I would it has 3 out of 5.

If it had some unique shades, I would have rated it as 4.5/5.

Review On Yuana Hair Oil

Some days back I posted about the Yuana hair oil that I received in my mail. I was super excited to use it and so I did used it last weekend. Now it’s the time to tell you guys about my experience.

I am super excited for that too. So let’s just start.

Let me first introduce to guys to this company.

Yuana hair oil comes from the world of Suaan Essentials. This oil has been made by two of the talented ladies Anita and Sushma. Their mission was to provide a value added and affordable product, incorporating the best international standards. This oil is their own formulation which is made to contribute in the lives of their customers.

Let’s move on to the hair oil now as that is the showstopper in today’s post.

Product description:

Yuana is a premium hair oil which is a perfect blend of 7 natural oils, i.e.- castor, mustard, coconut, olive, almond, sunflower and sesame oil which is a blend of Indian and European ingredients.

We all are well aware about the properties of these oils. We usually get confused that which one should we opt for as this all are so amazing. Now we have the got the perfect solution for it, which is nothing but yuana hair oil as it contains all of these.

This bottle is like a perfect gift for our hairs as it helps us pamper our hair in best way possible. It is a multipurpose oil which can be used by anyone irrespective of age and sex.

This oil can be used as general hair oil or it can also be used as hair styling serum. It helps in hair growth, controls hair loss resulting in providing healthy hair.

It contains fatty acid which helps in keeping the hairs dandruff free. And also it protects our hair from harmful UV rays.

Price and Quantity:

This hair oil retails for Rs. 675 for net weight 100ml.

Shelf Life:

It has a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacturing.

Texture:

It has very perfect oil texture which is neither very thick or runny. Usually little amount is enough to massage shoulder length hairs.

It is not at all sticky. It gets absorbed very easily and makes you feel light.

It has amazing fragrance which I totally loved. Fragrance stays on for sometimes but once you shampoo your hair, it disappears.

Yuana hair oil comes in a very cute packaging. First time I am so impressed with a hair oil bottle packaging.

It comes in a transparent bottle which has white and golden colored nozzle attached to it. Pink colored sticker is attached to the bottle which has all details printed on it.

Nozzle is again guarded with a small plastic cap which prevents leakage. It is really very easy taking out oil through spray technique as it prevents us from taking out more oil.

It has very travel friendly packaging, can be carried in handbags or travel pouches easily.

Directions of Usage:

To use it like a hair oil, pump out little amount of oil in your palms, apply it generously all over your hairs and scalp. Massage nicely for 5 mins and then let it rest for 1-2 hours. Or if you like, you can leave it overnight. After that shampoo and condition your hairs to see the effect.

To use it like a styling serum, spray it over your hairs in middle and tips of hair for ease of styling and frizz reduction.

Pros of Yuana Hair oil:

      1)      It helps in hair growth.

      2)      Reduces hair fall.

      3)      Can be used as hair oil as well as styling serum.

      4)      It is silicon free hair oil.

      5)      Contains goodness of 7 natural hair oils.

      6)      It is rich in vitamin E, minerals, proteins, omega 6 and omega 9.

      7)      Helps in keeping our hair dandruff free.

      8)      Helps in moisturizing, nourishing, polishing and smoothing the hairs.

      9)      Has very travel friendly and cute packaging.

Cons of Yuana Hair oil:

      1)      It is quite costly for the quantity provided. But since it includes 7 natural oils it is acceptable.

      2)      Available only in amazon.

My Experience of Yuana Hair oil:

Let me first tell you that I am not a hair oil lover. I really don’t like applying oils so I generally apply oils once in a month. When Anita approached me and informed me about this premium oil containing so many natural ingredients I got tempted to use it.

After receiving the package and seeing the cute little bottle, my excitement rose to next level so without doing any delay I thought of trying it out.

I was lucky, that it was a weekend. So I quickly took out the oil and applied all over my hairs and scalp generously. It was not at all sticky. I felt very comfortable after applying it. It didn’t even give an oily and dewy look. It got absorbed so nicely that my hairs were actually looking bright and shining.

I let it rest for around 1.5 hours, after which my washed and conditioned my hairs.

I must say that hair fall was reduced in 1^st attempt itself. My hairs were detangled easily and it looked smooth and soft. It gave nice touch to my hairs which I really loved.

Generally, my hairs start getting oily within 2 days of washing. But this time, it’s been 3 days my hairs are still looking soft and smooth.

I am yet to try it as styling serum. Once I do, I will definitely let you guys know about it.

For the first time in my life, I have liked a hair oil and I am sure I am going to use it continuously from now on.

Review on Ponds White beauty BB+ cream

Festive season is all around and we girls need just simple reasons to buy new outfits, accessories and makeup. Ethnic look is incomplete without good makeup. So to help you with that I have come up with this new review.

Many brands have launched BB cream in India like ponds, garnier, Maybelline, colorbar etc. but my fav is ponds so I am reviewing about that today.

So without any more adieu, let’s start with today’s review:

Product Description:

For the ones who don’t know BB cream, let me first introduce you guys to it.

BB stands for blemish balm or beauty balm. It is an all in one cream which contains moisturizer, foundation as well as sunblock. It is just perfect for girls like me, who is always in a hurry to reach office or girls who don’t like to do heave makeup and apply foundation. This cream balances everything perfectly so instead of applying so many layers of products, its best to apply this cream and you are good to go.

Pond’s BB cream is my favorite as it has perfect consistency. It is suitable for every skin type and matches every Indian skin tone.  

It comes with SPF 30 PA++ and GenWhite Cover formula which helps in giving a nice beautiful complexion.

Packaging:

Ponds BB cream comes in a white tube with silver elongated nozzle. This nozzle makes it easier to take out the required amount of cream.

This tube is packaged inside a pink cardboard box. All the required details are printed on the box as well as the tube.

It has very sleek and simple packaging which you can easily carry anywhere.

Texture:

As I said earlier, this cream has just perfect consistency. It is neither very thick nor runny and has skin type of color. It is easily blend able over skin and doesn’t make your skin look dry neither gives a cakey look.

It has very mild fragrance which disappears after sometimes.

Price and Quantity:

It retails for rs.75 for 9g and Rs.125 for 18g.

Shelf Life:

24 months from date of manufacturing.

Directions of Usage:

To use this, first clean your face. Then take out little amount of cream in the back of your palms. 

Then apply it all over your face in dots. Then using your fingers or brush, blend it all over nicely in circular motions.

Don’t forget to apply it in your neck area to avoid mismatching of skin color.

     5)      It is suitable for every Indian skin tone.

     6)      It blends very nicely and doesn’t give any cakey look.

     7)      It is perfect for everyday use as it doesn’t gives any breakouts.

     8)      It is quite cheap and is easily available.

     9)      It covers black spots and acnes easily.

Cons of Ponds White Beauty BB Cream:

      1)      Only 1 shade is available.

My experience of Ponds White Beauty BB Cream:

You would be well aware by now that I love this product and it is a must have in my kitty.

This BB cream is my go to product which makes me look good instantly. I use it every day while going to office as it doesn’t take time and can be applied easily.

It helps me in hiding my pores and acnes and result in giving a smooth skin. It doesn’t make me look cakey, instead give a very natural finish.

I use this cream on my bare face and apply some compact or loose powder on top of it. That is more than enough for me to look good in office.

Even many a times when I am going for some outing and I am lazy to apply makeup, I follow this same routine as it is effective.

I am really very happy with this cream and suggest you guys too to try it out definitely.
